So ... it's taken a while to post this but it has indeed finally happened... on 22nd September 2017 I received confirmation that a place was reserved for me at Ballymaloe :) For those of you who know me well, you will know what this means to me and that 20 years ago I had filled out an application form for this exact course. I didn't go through with it ... as at the time the thoughts of giving up the meagre salary of a 21 year old didn't really appeal to me! Now many many years later the itch is about to be scratched and come mid April I will begin the drive from Luxembourg to Ireland to face up to the "inevitable" ...
